Rokka isn’t just another guesthouse in Zagori. This is our home and it’s open to anyone who would like to join us and experience our way of life!
Lena, a passionate and experienced weaver, introduces visitors to the ancient art of felting and weaving so they can create their own wool fabric with their own hands!
No two days are the same at Rokka! Making our own dairy, pasta, bread, lentils and trahanas, a nutritious mix of dried milk and wheat crumbs, are just some of the things we do on a daily basis.
We loved the Rokka family and the area so much that we made a permanent move to Zagori!
We came for three days, stayed for 9!
If you would like to find out more about the art of weaving, Lena’s “Saita” workshop offers hands on lessons, where you can learn how to wind a warp and get the loom ready for weaving.
Hands, water and sheep’s wool…this is all you need to create a special material called felt. You can easily get to Lena’s workshop and create your own souvenirs!
The cheese at Rokka guesthouse is handmade using the abundant fresh milk of our 400 ewes!
The surrounding area offers ample opportunities for a vast range of activities in nature. Georgia can help you plan short or long-distance treks, depending on what you would like to see and do.
In the spring and autumn seasons, you can go mushroom foraging with Katerina. You can fill your baskets with handfuls of local wild mushrooms as well as black and white truffles.
If you would like to help out with the milking and daily care of the sheep, you can join Kostas and Lakis who will gladly help you get your hands dirty!
